Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square Senior Sales Manager:

Responsible for prospecting, booking business and achieving account satisfaction, within the parameters set forth by AccorHotels. The responsibilities will include: prospecting, sales calls, contracts, proposals, filing, updating reports for tracking sales, developing new accounts plus miscellaneous sales projects. This is an advanced sales position. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, in a professional organized manner with all hotel personnel and outside contacts. Excellent organizational skills, ability to maintain detailed information accurately. A proven sales track record necessary.

The Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting & developing new business, increasing sales while following and supporting established sales & marketing policies, practices and procedures. This role will manage the association and SMERF markets among others.

Maintains excellent relations with existing Customers.

Contributes to the achievement of the department’s yearly sales goals.

Prepare sales & book business.

Maintain good working relationships with other departments.

Develop assigned areas by managing all segments of business in solicitation and correspondence.

Keep weekly itinerary and productivity reports

Active involvement in industry related associations and organizations.

Perform tasks as directed by the Director of Sales/Marketing & the General Manager

Travel is required for trade shows, trade fairs, meetings, etc.

Be knowledgeable on computer systems within the hotel operation Word, Excel & Delphi required.
