Job Description Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Novotel Reading Centre hotel, 4-star hotel is located in the city Centre; within 2 minutes walking distance from the train station, and the town's shopping and entertainment district.
We are now recruiting for a talented, funky, fun, quick witted superstar to join our Sales team. Directed by the General Manager, you will be responsible to plan, action and take ownership to drive all proactive sales and marketing activities within the hotel focusing predominantly on the primary local sales zone.

Overview of Sales and Marketing coordinator Duties
 Proactive sales within the local market place, Driving Conversion, Achieving Sales and Revenue Targets across all revenue segmentations

Keys Responsibilities
Professional techniques / Production
 Drive and lead conversion making clear impact upon this measure within the sales department to provide outstanding show rounds and consistently improve conversion of business at the hotel
 Devise a programme of client animation and activity which promotes the hotel’s business
 Assist GM in devising and driving a ‘SMART’ Sales and marketing plan to ensure budget achievement
 Account manages a portfolio of existing accounts to ensure market share growth to deliver results for the hotel
 Ensure development, maintenance & management of all databases
 Ensure development, maintenance & management of all websites: Accorhotels/Expedia/Booking.com/TripAdvisor
 To work with the GM to formulate and lead the weekly sales meeting to ensure all targets are met and any gaps to budget are closed in a timely manner to ensure achievement of top line sales and profitability
 To measure the success and challenge sales and marketing initiatives, constantly seeking ways to improve results, expand markets and innovate our approach to sales generation
 Manage relationships to ensure all targeted activity matches specific business objectives and we achieve maximum return on our investment in terms of PR and exposure
 Ensure a clear ROI on your time spent on specific sales activity
Sales & Marketing coordinator Profile
The successful applicant must be able to:
 Demonstrate a background in managing multiple client accounts

 Using the Relationships built to drive business and increase conversion

 Promote the hotel to existing and new clients.
Measurements:
 Achievement of top line sales targets for the hotel, all segments
 Number of enquiries generated and converted for conference and events and reservations department
 Growth of portfolio of corporate accounts
 Volume of new business enquiries
 Volume of face-to-face appointments in key market segments
 Generation of new business revenue by profit center and market segment
 Mining and hunting of new/current/lapsed accounts fed in to Regional Sales manager to support on animation and growth
Human Resources:
 Support any sales training programs within the hotel
 To assist in creating a sales culture across all departments of the hotel
