Key tasks

• Maintain and implement as necessary the Hotel cleaning program. To include as a minimum Exterior Appearance, Housekeeping and Public Areas
• Maintain and ensure a continual comprehensive preventative maintenance programme for the entire Hotel
• Ensure daily operation runs smoothly
• To develop strategic plans for cleaning as well as landscaping planning
• Prepare monthly housekeeping and laundry reports
• To develop and maintain, as appropriate, departmental rules for guiding performance of staff.
• To ensure that all employees are fully familiar with and have a complete understanding of the hotel’s policies relating to fire, safety, hygiene and health and that these policies are strictly adhered to.
• To select and recruit, in conjunction with the personnel department, suitable staff for the engineering operation
• Induct new Ambassadors into the team, department and Hotel in the first week of their employment following Hotel guidelines.
• Be pro-active in controlling costs being fully aware of forecasted business and targeted profitability whilst maintaining standards.
Creates emotion, surprise and pleasure for each of our guests through attention to detail and a passion for excellence
• Lead by example and take initiative to ensure that interactions with our guests are positive and productive, call the General Manager if difficulties cannot be addressed through empowerment.
